An enigma.
This photo of Anne was taken at the Hakone Estate and Gardens. It is one of the oldest Japanese estates in the Western Hemisphere, nestled in the verdant hills of Saratoga overlooking Silicon Valley. Think tradition and tranquility.
Now imagine a designer modeling one of her creations inspired by ravens which symbolize the death of an era. Loss and ill omen. A sentiment Anne was experiencing at the time she designed the dress.
But ravens also represent prophecy and insight.
Just like the raven. Just like Anne. This photos attempts to convey an enigmatic aura of a modern woman and her singular design in a traditional setting that befits the bold and the brave.
