Some of the best things in life aren’t planned, and this shoot? Totally one of those moments. What started as a casual idea quickly turned into an memorable collaboration. And honestly, that’s what I love about photography. The chance to expect the unexpected and turn it into magic.
Brian and his stunning ’53 Chevy (210 Coupe) brought all the vibes we didn’t even know we needed. This car isn’t just a mode of transportation. It’s a rolling masterpiece. That golden finish? It’s the kind of thing that stops you in your tracks. And Brian? He’s the definition of cool. Rocking a mustard-yellow Bailey Hats of Hollywood, a Derby of San Francisco jacket, and a custom grill by Campos Jewelers, he embodied boldness and authenticity without even trying.
The location, San Francisco’s iconic Legion of Honor, gave us an unplanned but perfect backdrop. The way the golden tones of the car reflected in Brian’s outfit was pure serendipity, and every shot felt like it was meant to be. Whether he was behind the wheel or leaning back with that “I’ve got this” attitude, it all came together in a way that you couldn’t script if you tried.
For me, this kind of spontaneous creativity is everything. There was no rigid plan, just the car, the outfit, and the vibe, and that’s where the magic happens. It’s these unexpected moments that remind me why I do what I do: to capture the raw, unfiltered stories that unfold in front of my lens.
A special thank you to Mayra Aguiar for organizing what was originally planned as a photoshoot featuring Lacey 53 alongside a few models. The timing gave us the chance to go off script and capture these unplanned shots. Proof that sometimes the best moments happen when you embrace the unexpected.
