Springtime in San Francisco is always full of surprises. The city blooms with creativity, color, and a lively spirit that’s hard to resist. This year, photographing the Spring/Summer 2025 Collection by Skip Pas for West Coast Leather against this vibrant backdrop was pure excitement.
The Sport Racer Series Takes Center Stage
In fashion photography, every detail counts. Skip Pas knows this well. His 22nd Anniversary Collection, especially the Sport Racer Series, is a celebration of color and attitude. The standout piece? A Chevron French Orange and Gitane Blue leather jacket. Priced at $1500, it delivers a mix of sporty flair and fine craftsmanship that’s impossible to ignore.
Meet Darlene: Confidence in Motion

Model Darlene brought energy, grace, and edge to the shoot. Her ability to shift from a relaxed smile to a strong, captivating stare made each frame come alive. Whether leaning against the glass of a carousel or sitting on a staircase splashed in color, she gave the collection its personality.
Her look was effortlessly cool. Oversized cargo jeans, white sneakers, and a cropped white top gave the bold jacket room to shine. The outfit balanced streetwear comfort with the polish of luxury fashion.
Carousel Moments at Moscone Center
Our first location was the iconic carousel near Moscone Center, an emblematic symbol of joy and nostalgia. With its ornate horses and playful, reflective glass surfaces, the carousel provided a whimsical yet sophisticated atmosphere. Darlene’s playful interaction with the environment, from leaning casually against the carousel facade to striking confident poses, created a dynamic contrast. The jacket’s vibrant hues were brilliantly echoed in the carousel’s colors, enhancing the playful elegance of each shot.

Each photo captured here highlighted a different facet of Darlene’s personality and the versatility of Skip Pas’ design. Smiling candidly or thoughtfully posing, every frame showcased the effortless blend of high fashion and youthful charm.
Stepping into Color
Next, we moved to the vibrant steps near Moscone Center, a location bursting with street art and bold patterns. This setting was perfect for showcasing the edgy, street-ready spirit of the collection. The colorful murals painted on the staircases, featuring bright florals and abstract designs, complemented the jacket’s striking color combination.

Darlene’s confident stride and dynamic poses brought energy and life to these frames. Standing tall, seated comfortably, or leaning thoughtfully, each position expressed a fresh interpretation of urban chic. The vibrant backdrop and expressive poses underscored the jacket’s strong aesthetic and the city’s artistic vibrancy, creating unforgettable visuals.
Favorite Frames
The shots on the rainbow staircase were personal favorites. The backdrop made the jacket’s colors leap off the screen. Darlene’s poses were sharp and self-assured, showing how fashion can be both playful and powerful. These were the kinds of moments that remind me why I love this work.
Fashion photography works best when everything connects. That includes wardrobe, location, pose, and emotion. The Spring/Summer 2025 Collection by Skip Pas does more than look good. It tells a story of confidence, boldness, and self-expression. San Francisco gave that story the perfect setting.
