A Young Model, Rain, and the Glow of Osaka
This is not just a story about a young model posing in Osaka.
It is a story about quiet confidence under city lights.
Rain falling. Flash cutting through the night. A clear umbrella catching reflections from the street. Small corners of Osaka becoming cinematic around her. A laundromat. Gachapon machines. Wet pavement. Soft color. Ordinary city details that began to feel like part of her own visual world.
Hal came from Kobe to Osaka for this photoshoot, accompanied by her father. The weather could have changed everything. It could have ended the shoot before it began. Most models might have looked at the rain and decided it was too much.
Hal chose to continue.
That stayed with me.
Not because it made the shoot easier. It did not. Rain asks more from everyone. It changes the rhythm. It slows the movement. It makes every small decision matter. Where to stand. How to hold the umbrella. How to protect the light. How to keep the mood alive.
Hal stayed present.
She moved through the night with a calmness that felt beyond her age. There was no need to overperform. No need to force the moment. Confidence does not always need to be loud. Sometimes it arrives quietly. In the way someone holds their gaze. In the way they listen. In the way they keep going when the conditions are imperfect.

これは、大阪でポーズをとる若いモデルの物語だけではありません。
街明かりの下にある、静かな自信の物語です。
降り続く雨。夜を切り裂くフラッシュ。通りの光を映す透明な傘。彼女のまわりで映画のワンシーンのように変わっていく大阪の小さな街角。自動販売機。ガチャガチャ。濡れた舗道。やわらかな色。何気ない街の風景が、彼女自身のビジュアルの世界の一部のように感じられました。
Halはこの撮影のために、お父様と一緒に神戸から大阪へ来てくれました。天気はすべてを変えてしまう可能性がありました。撮影が始まる前に終わってしまってもおかしくありませんでした。多くのモデルなら、雨を見て「今日は難しい」と感じたかもしれません。
でもHalは続けることを選びました。
そのことが、私の心に残っています。
それは、撮影が簡単になったからではありません。むしろ簡単ではありませんでした。雨は、そこにいる全員により多くの集中を求めます。リズムを変えます。動きをゆっくりにします。小さな判断のひとつひとつが大切になります。どこに立つか。傘をどう持つか。光をどう守るか。雰囲気をどう保つか。
Halは、その場にしっかりと存在していました。
彼女は、年齢を超えた落ち着きで夜の街を歩いていました。大げさに見せる必要はありませんでした。無理に瞬間を作る必要もありませんでした。自信は、いつも大きな声で表れるものではありません。時には静かに現れます。視線の保ち方に。人の話を聞く姿勢に。完璧ではない状況でも進み続ける姿に。
The First Look: Elegance in the Rain
The first look, a black dress beneath a clear umbrella, gave the images a cinematic softness. The dress had movement and mystery. Against the wet pavement and narrow Osaka streets, it created a sense of elegance inside the ordinary.
The umbrella became more than protection from the rain. It became a lens. A surface for reflections. A frame within the frame. Raindrops caught the flash and turned into small points of light around her.
There were moments when the city seemed to disappear behind her. Then moments when the city became part of her.
That is what I loved about this series.
Osaka was not just a backdrop. It was atmosphere. Night streets. Closed shutters. Glowing signs. Reflections on the ground. A quiet alley transformed by rain and flash. The kind of place most people might walk past without a second thought. But with Hal there, holding still beneath the umbrella, the street began to feel like a scene from a film.
最初のルック：雨の中のエレガンス
最初のルックは、透明な傘の下の黒いドレスでした。その組み合わせが、写真に映画のようなやわらかさを与えてくれました。ドレスには動きとミステリアスな雰囲気がありました。濡れた舗道と大阪の細い通りの中で、日常の中にあるエレガンスを感じさせてくれました。
傘は、雨を避けるためだけのものではありませんでした。それはひとつのレンズになりました。反射を映す面になりました。フレームの中のもうひとつのフレームになりました。雨粒はフラッシュを受けて、彼女のまわりに小さな光の点となって浮かび上がりました。
街が彼女の後ろに消えていくように見える瞬間がありました。そして、街そのものが彼女の一部になるように見える瞬間もありました。
このシリーズで私が好きだったのは、まさにそこでした。
大阪は単なる背景ではありませんでした。空気感そのものでした。夜の通り。閉じたシャッター。光る看板。地面に映る反射。雨とフラッシュによって変化した静かな路地。多くの人が何も考えずに通り過ぎてしまうような場所です。でもHalがそこにいて、傘の下で静かに立っていると、その通りは映画のワンシーンのように感じられました。
The Second Look: Youth, Style, and Play
The second look shifted the mood.
Jean shorts. A black sleeveless top. A white layer tied at the waist. Black boots. More casual. More direct. Still cool. Still composed.
Inside the gacha shop, the world became brighter and more playful. Rows of capsule machines surrounded her with color, repetition, and pattern. It gave the story another side. Youthful, but not childish. Stylish, but not overdone.
Hal brought the same quiet confidence into that space, letting the setting speak without losing her own presence inside it.
That balance matters.
In her interview, Hal speaks about modeling as something that has helped her see herself differently. She is still growing. Still learning. Still discovering how others see her, and how that may differ from the image she carries inside herself. There is something honest in that. Something many models, artists, and creatives understand.
The camera can reveal. It can challenge. It can surprise.
For Hal, modeling is not only about the pose or the final image. It is also about the sound of the shutter, the flash of light, and the feeling of seeing a completed photograph that reflects something meaningful back to her. That idea felt present throughout the shoot. Every time the flash lit the rain. Every time she adjusted her expression. Every time she found stillness inside the movement of the city.
2つ目のルック：若さ、スタイル、そして遊び心
2つ目のルックでは、雰囲気が変わりました。
デニムショートパンツ。黒のノースリーブトップ。腰に結んだ白いレイヤー。黒いブーツ。よりカジュアルで、よりストレート。それでもクールで、落ち着いていました。
ガチャショップの中では、世界が明るく、より遊び心のあるものになりました。並んだカプセルマシンが、色、反復、パターンで彼女を囲みました。それがこの物語に別の表情を与えてくれました。若々しいけれど子どもっぽくない。おしゃれだけれど、やりすぎていない。
Halはその空間にも同じ静かな自信を持ち込みました。場所の個性を生かしながら、その中で自分の存在感を失いませんでした。
そのバランスはとても大切です。
インタビューの中で、Halはモデルの活動が自分自身の見方を変えるきっかけになっていると話してくれました。彼女はまだ成長している途中です。まだ学んでいます。人から見える自分と、自分の中にある自分のイメージが違うかもしれないことを、少しずつ発見しています。そこには正直さがあります。多くのモデル、アーティスト、クリエイターが理解できるものだと思います。
カメラは何かを映し出します。時には挑戦を与えます。時には驚かせてくれます。
Halにとって、モデルの活動はポーズや完成した写真だけではありません。シャッターの音。光るフラッシュ。そして、完成した写真を見たときに、自分にとって意味のある何かが返ってくる感覚。その考えは、撮影全体を通して感じられました。フラッシュが雨を照らすたびに。彼女が表情を少し変えるたびに。街の動きの中で静けさを見つけるたびに。
Growing Into Her Light
Hal has already begun shaping a clear visual identity. Cool. Sophisticated. Poised. The kind of presence that feels natural in fashion and editorial photography.
What impressed me most went beyond her look. It was her willingness to become someone different for the scene, shaped by the mood and atmosphere around her.
It was also her courage.
At 11 years old, Hal already carries a sense of professionalism. She arrived ready. She adapted. She listened. She worked through the rain. She trusted the process.
She also had the support of her father on set, and it was clear how much care surrounds her. Both of her parents are supportive of her path, and that kind of support matters deeply, especially for a young model still growing into her craft.
I hope she continues to receive opportunities that help her develop with confidence, patience, and joy.
She deserves much success.
And I hope I will have the chance to work with her again.
Because this photoshoot was not only about creating beautiful images in Osaka. It was about witnessing a young model step into the light, not loudly, not hurriedly, but with focus, courage, and quiet confidence.

Halはすでに、はっきりとしたビジュアルの個性を作り始めています。クールで、洗練されていて、落ち着いている。ファッションやエディトリアルフォトに自然になじむ存在感があります。
でも私が一番印象を受けたのは、彼女の見た目だけではありません。
それは、彼女の勇気でした。
11歳のHalには、すでにプロ意識のようなものがあります。準備をして来てくれました。状況に合わせて動いてくれました。話を聞いてくれました。雨の中でも撮影を続けてくれました。プロセスを信じてくれました。
撮影現場ではお父様のサポートもあり、彼女がどれほど大切に見守られているかが伝わってきました。ご両親が彼女の道を応援していることは明らかで、そのような支えはとても大切です。特に、これから自分の表現を育てていく若いモデルにとってはなおさらです。

THE INTERVIEW
Could you please introduce yourself?
My stage name is Hal. I am 11 years old.
When did you start modeling?
I began my modeling activities in 2024.
What inspired you to want to become a model?
It was because people around me often complimented me on my physique.
What was your first modeling job like?
I didn’t do very well, and I really felt my own inexperience.
What is your favorite part of modeling?
I love hearing the sound of the camera shutter and being enveloped in the light of the flash. I also enjoy seeing the final, completed images.
What kind of modeling work have you done so far?
I currently work as a portrait model.
Do you have a particular genre of modeling that you prefer?
I like cool, high-fashion styles.
Are there any specific types of modeling work you would like to try in the future?
I would like to take on more challenges as a magazine model and a brand model.
Are there any specific brands, magazines, or designers you would like to work with someday?
As for brands, I aspire to work with international labels like ZARA. Regarding magazines, my goal is to one day be featured in an international publication such as *Vogue*. As for designers, I haven’t yet had the opportunity to meet anyone specific.
What makes a photoshoot feel truly special to you?
It is when the final images turn out beautifully and truly resonate with the hearts of those who see them.
How do you prepare before a photoshoot?
I prepare by focusing on cultivating a cool and stylish aesthetic.
Is there a particular style or mood that you find easiest to express in front of the camera?
I am particularly adept at conveying a cool and sophisticated atmosphere.
When do you feel the most confident during a photoshoot?
I feel most confident when the photographer compliments me on my facial expressions or posing.
What have you learned about yourself through your work as a model?
I have learned that there is often a difference between the image I have of myself and the image that others perceive.
Have you noticed any changes in yourself since you started modeling?
I used to have insecurities about my facial features and physique, but receiving compliments on my work and during photo shoots has helped me gradually build my self-confidence.
What is your most memorable experience from your modeling career so far?
It was the very first time I received a request for a photo shoot after I began my activities. The resulting images were truly magnificent, and I was overjoyed because it felt as though I had discovered a whole new side of myself.
Could you tell us about your dreams and goals for the future?
My goal is to become a model who can work on a global stage. I also aspire to establish myself as a successful runway model.
What do you enjoy doing outside of your modeling work?
I enjoy attending dance events.
Is there anything about you that might come as a surprise to those around you?
Since I am currently still in elementary school, I am very much still growing and developing.
Finally, is there anything you would like to share with everyone?
I am deeply grateful to have been given such a wonderful opportunity. Creating this work was incredibly enjoyable and brought me a great sense of joy. I truly hope that, through this project and the connections I have made, I will go on to encounter new people and have new experiences in the future.

活動を始めて初めて撮影依頼をいただいた時のことです。その時の作品が本当に素晴らしく、新しい自分に出会えたようでとても嬉しかったです。

世界で活躍できるモデルになることです。また、ランウェイモデルとしても活躍できるようになりたいです。
モデル以外ではどんなことを楽しんでいますか？
ダンスのイベントに参加することを楽しんでいます。

現在はまだ小学生なので、まだまだ成長中です。
