February 23, 2025, marked the beginning of an exciting journey for aspiring models and artists as MusiQ Production hosted the first auditions for Summer Breeze 2025 at the Continental Club in Oakland. This event set the stage for a dynamic blend of fashion, music, and community-driven collaboration. As a photographer, I had the privilege of capturing the energy and creativity of this event, with select images set to be featured in an upcoming issue of CoverStory showcasing the talent that took center stage.
Setting the Stage for Summer Breeze 2025
The auditions kicked off with a team prayer and startup meeting, setting the tone for a day filled with passion and purpose. Following this, a team photoshoot with CoverStory provided an opportunity for the talents to shine in front of the camera before stepping onto the audition stage. The venue was meticulously set up to accommodate both model castings and music auditions, creating a memorable experience for participants and spectators alike.
MusiQ Production’s commitment to fostering creativity and inclusivity was evident throughout the event. The organization, founded by Jayden De La Cruz, is known for curating live events that spotlight emerging and established talent while supporting local charities. Their values of creativity, community equity, and impact were reflected in every detail of the auditions, ensuring that participants felt empowered and inspired.
Model Casting Call and Music Auditions
The highlight of the day was the model casting call and artist auditions. Models and musicians took turns showcasing their talents, each bringing their unique style and confidence to the stage. The energy in the room was electric as hopefuls walked the runway and performed, demonstrating their skills for a panel of judges and industry professionals.
Among the standout participants were Alauna Jaden Torres and Laia Albert, both of whom will be competing in Miss Glamorous International 2025 on March 22 at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Sacramento. Their presence at the auditions added an extra layer of excitement as they shared their stories and embodied the confidence and charisma that define Miss Glamorous International’s mission of empowering women through self-worth, independence, and mental health awareness.
The Continental Club in Oakland provided the perfect backdrop for this exciting event. A legendary venue with a rich history, the club has hosted performances by some of the greatest artists in music, including Aretha Franklin, James Brown, B.B. King, Jimi Hendrix, and Stevie Wonder. Its legacy of showcasing groundbreaking talent made it a fitting place for the next generation of models and musicians to take their first steps toward success.
Throughout the event, I had the opportunity to photograph these talented individuals, capturing the essence of their artistry and the vibrancy of their personalities. From bold fashion choices to striking expressions, each image tells a story of ambition and creativity. These photos, to be featured in CoverStory, will highlight the diverse talent that MusiQ Production nurtures through its platform.
